What Not to Wear

Very short edition of what not to wear:

Why this man decided to put on shoes and socks and no pants, I have no clue:

I am also at a loss why this girl chose to wear a big black flower in her hair to the Chiefs game:

Harley Day

Hello Everyone!! I don't want you to think that since it took me a week to write about Harley Day that it wasn't one of the most exciting experiences of my life. First and foremost, I must thank my roommate for making all of this possible. I still think you are crazy for what you spent, however, I want you to know that every penny was worth it as you made me feel like the luckiest girl at the KSU stadium.

I realize some of my followers have no freaking clue what I am talking about. Well, here is a link to a youtube video to see what I am talking about. I am in at 23 seconds.

It may not seem exciting to those who do not bleed purple, but trust me, it was a thrill!

Thank you also to my Mom and Dad for making the trek to KS for this special day. I must also note that Dad and I tied for the largest flag and his Harley had one of the biggest engines that we saw (the engine thing was noticed by my Dad, I know nothing about motorcycles). And oh yeah, Dad was the only one with a train horn!!

Here are some pics, will probably post more as I get them.

Bet you didn't know I was related to Kenny Rodgers, did you??

Mom called this my Miss America wave....that's Mrs. America to you Mom! Ha!!

Concert last night

Went to a concert last night with a few girlfriends and had a great time....some interesting things happened that I just had to share:

1. It is a common fact that when you go to a concert, you will likely smell weed. Well, the man in front of me did not know this fact. He stands up, begins to survey around him and yells, "I smell weed!" It was not a yell like he was asking for a puff puff, he was ready to go and do a Citizens Arrest. I became excited as I had never seen a Citizens Arrest in person, however, the person he went with made him sit down. Darn.

2. To the young boy on my left: First, you do not need to sit in your seat with your legs that wide. I am pretty sure it is not that big that you need that much room. Anyway, I was standing up dancing and he remained seated.....I apologize for my butt hitting you on the side of your head as I was shaking to the music. BUTT.....you were still in my space!

3. To my friend LM: Wow, I did not know you were such a fighter! I was actually a little scared when you rolled down your car window to yell at the car in front of us and I was actually contemplating what I might actually do if the girls in the car came out after us. I honestly was only prepared to run, I don't think I would be very good in a fight.....you may want to take someone else with you next time for better protection.

Bennie the Celebrity

Bennie, my four-legged nephew, made the trip to KC for the weekend, and attended the KSU tailgate at Arrowhead. He was quite the celebrity. Strangers young and old, male and female, all came up to get their picture taken with him. It was so cute!! Here are some pics from my house, I didn't have my camera with me at the game. If you see pics of this dog around the internet, it is Bennie the Stud.

He is the most adorable thing and brings a smile to everyone's face. I love him!

This is the best looking Josh Freeman (#1) I have ever seen!

Bennie all tuckered out from all of the attention.

It Works - Sort of

So I found a new way to deal with my TV emotions, and it was working until today (sort of). I watch the show while doing a million other things, giving it enough attention to follow, but not become emotionally attached. This morning, I was watching Private Practice and my plan backfired on me. Since I wasn't watching with my full attention, I became confused about what happened and was convinced a main character on the show died. The show included flashbacks over several years, some of which I wasn't paying attention to, and I was completely lost, and sad over something that didn't even happen!

The good news is that I did not cry, nor did I get mad at my roommate for being un-sensitive. (if that is not a word, so what, you know what I mean!)
